About coffee in Nove Mesto nad Vahom
The most important guest in the history of Nové Mesto nad Váhom stayed a single night and was not a person. In July 1622 the Hungarian crown, together with the rest of the coronation regalia, spent the night in a corner house on the square, on its way from Trenčín to Sopron. The house had earlier been rebuilt by Ferenc Nádasdy, husband of Elizabeth Báthory, and a few years after the crown's visit their son Pál sold it. Today it houses the town's citizen service office, so paperwork now gets done where the crown once slept.
