In a country where sour coffee is grounds for a complaint, Forlì raised a world roasting champion. Rubens Gardelli started out in his mother's traditional bar and in 2017 won the World Coffee Roasting Championship - with profiles no Italian bar would ever serve. His coffee travels the world in pink bags, and the company's slogan says it outright: acidity is not a crime. A provincial town in Emilia-Romagna sends out into the world exactly what the rest of Italy refuses to drink.
