Specialty coffee in Ciampino

The name Ciampino is basically a mistake: it was given to the station here by French railway engineers who barely knew the area and took the name from a Roman prelate of two centuries earlier. In 1921 there were 154 people living here, and a cooperative was already drawing up an Italian garden city on Howard's model: two-story houses, each with a garden and a vegetable plot. The airport and Fascist expansion ate the plan, and all that is left of the whole scheme is a layout of radiating streets. Ciampino only broke away from Marino, which the land belonged to, in the seventies - it is younger than its own airport.
