Cooperative

A cooperative is an organization that brings together smallholder farmers to pool their resources and sell their coffee as a unified group. In many producing countries like Ethiopia or Colombia, a farmer might only own a small backyard garden with a few dozen coffee shrubs. Since they cannot easily afford their own fruit processing stations or export logistics, they deliver their daily harvest to a shared local facility. At this central station, specialty coffee from many neighbors is processed together to maintain high and consistent quality standards. When you drink coffee from a cooperative, you are experiencing the collective effort and dedication of entire villages rather than just one single estate.
