Specialty coffee in Terre D'Adige

The name Terre d'Adige is younger than plenty of the cars parked here - it came about in 2019, when Zambana and Nave San Rocco merged into a single commune. It was chosen not after a monument or a saint but after what both villages had been doing for generations: taking land back from the river and the marshes. On that reclaimed sand grows white asparagus, cut before dawn and carried in from the field before noon, some 350 quintals a year. The commune is a few years old, and its asparagus already has its own consortium and a de.co. mark, which make sure nobody sells someone else's crop under the Zambana name.
