About coffee in Vysoke Myto
Josef Sodomka built carriages, buggies and sleighs here until his son convinced him the future belonged to car bodies. Before long the workshop was building bodies for Rolls-Royce, Bugatti and Lancia, and its clients included Jan Werich, Jan Antonín Baťa and Hana Benešová, the president's wife. In 1948 the state took the factory away from the family, and a year later the most famous car in its history rolled out of its gates: a Tatraplan, a gift for Stalin's seventieth birthday.
