About coffee in Siluvky
The village library in Silůvky was founded in 1887 by the local teacher and writer Viktor Kamil Jeřábek — it started with sixty volumes. The collection then wandered from the fire station to the pub, until it finally ended up in a former barber's shop on Nádražní Street. In 1951 the library was taken over by sixteen-year-old Jiřina Zdražílková, who ran it for the next sixty years. Today its shelves hold more than six thousand books, a hundred times as many as at the start.
