About coffee in Brandys nad Labem-Stara Boleslav
At 32 characters, this is the second-longest place name in the Czech Republic, because when Brandýs nad Labem and Stará Boleslav were merged in 1960, neither town would give up its own. In Stará Boleslav, Duke Boleslaus murdered his own brother Wenceslas at the church door, and Wenceslas went on to become the patron saint of the Czech lands. In Brandýs, Charles I, the last Emperor of Austria, spent his honeymoon with Zita, and she remembered their quiet days there as the happiest of their life together. So the hyphen in the name links a fratricide more than a thousand years old to the last emperor's happiest days.
