Specialty coffee in Przemysl

The most elegant cafe in Galicia was reckoned to be neither the one in Lwów nor the one in Kraków, but the one in Przemyśl — the Stieber Grand Cafe on the upper floor of the Gans passage, run by a former waiter. It had a card room, billiards and a separate ladies' salon with its own entrance, and the coffee came with Olomouc quargel and caviar rolls. Stieber later moved to Vienna, opened the Cafe Splendid in the center and became president of the Viennese cafe owners. In that monarchy the models traveled from Vienna out to the provinces — this career went in exactly the opposite direction.
