Specialty coffee in Liptovsky Mikulas

For a dozen or so years this little town on the Váh served as the capital of Slovak culture, though no Slovak capital existed at the time. The first public library in Slovakia opened here, the first Slovak theatre started up a year later, and in 1844 Tatrín was founded, the first nationwide educational society. Four years after that the Demands of the Slovak Nation were proclaimed here - the Slovaks' first political programme. Day to day the town lived off far less lofty things: hides, tanneries and furriers, and the oldest guild, the shoemakers', was already active here at the beginning of the 16th century.
