Specialty coffee in Smerek

What gets protected above Smerek is the thing you cannot see by day: darkness. The whole Cisna municipality lies inside the Starry Sky Park, created in 2013 by a memorandum signed in Lutowiska — one of the largest such areas in Europe and the darkest sky in Poland. Just over the border lies the Slovak Poloniny park, a year older, so the rule about not shining light upward holds on both sides here. The rest of the country has to travel for a night like this. Smerek simply lives in it.
